I would like to offer my heartfelt thanks to the voters and to my supporters and volunteers, who worked tirelessly on my behalf these past months. I am especially grateful to all those who opened their doors to me as I traveled throughout Sagadahoc County during the campaign. It has been a true honor to represent you in the Senate and I am pleased to have had the opportunity to be of service.

Though unsuccessful in my re-election bid, I will continue to work for the things that matter most to the working women and men in Maine: increasing access to quality health care, excellent public education, from early years to adult learners; jobs that pay good wages so workers can support themselves and their families.

Congratulations to our next state Senator and thanks to both my opponents for their willingness to serve in the best interests of Maine people.
