We are collaborating with the Women’s Committee of Local 6, BIW, for the Heritage Days Parade. The theme is going to be “Rosie the Riveter—-Same issues, 70 years later”. We are going to promote issues about the need for affordable childcare, family healthcare, equal pay—workplace justice, role of unions and so on. Interesting enough, during Rosie’s time, the government reluctantly provided some of the best ever child/daycare for the working moms, encouraged employer sponsored preventative healthcare and stressed the important role of women in the workplace. Unfortunately, these issues still are critical today.

So, YOU ARE INVITED TO PARTICIPATE IN THE PARADE OR IN PREPARATIONS FOR THE PARADE! It is being held on the

4th of July, in Bath. Parade starts at 11:30am. What great slogans we can come up with and think of all the creative ideas that abound around these themes!!! Please let us know about your willingness to participate by contacting us at 443-7481, or via e-mail: contact@sagadahocdems.org
