Volunteer

Sign up for a job or a committee and put your skills to work to make government more effective, more rational, and more equitable.  Help elect Democrats in 2012!

•    Send out monthly calendar listings and press releases by email.
•    Write letters to the editor, Op Ed pieces for local papers, and letters to your elected officials
•    Join the planning committee for our gubernatorial Candidates Forum April 27.
•    Chair the Spring Social in May or the Harvest Supper in October.
•    Solicit Host Contributions for event and sponsorship donations to support Victory 2012 Headquarters in Bath and Topsham
•    Blog on Facebook and Twitter to get out the Democratic message
•    Co-ordinate bulk mailings, man the phones, hand out leaflets, knock on doors
•    Loan us furniture, computers, phones etc. to equip our Headquarters (loaned items are NOT contributions )
•    TALK TO EVERYONE YOU KNOW.  Don’t let the opposition (or Fox ‘News’) control the conversation!

The SCDC depends on the energy and commitment of volunteers, and we welcome the contributions of community members. There are MANY ways to contribute, especially during election season! Volunteers are needed to:

•    Drive candidates
•    Make phone calls
•    Write letters
•    Staff the office
•    Organize events
•    Post signs
•    Host fundraisers or other events
